RED THERMITE #1
SOURCE: Shimizu
COMMENTS:
DANGER/CAUTION
Thermite can burn at temperatures exceeding 3000°C. If water contacts a thermite fire, a steam explosion will result. Thermite fires generate tremendous amounts of ultraviolet light which may cause severe eye damage.
Red thermite is very sensitive to friction and flame. While it is not a highly energetic composition, it burns extremely hot and severe burns can result from improper handling.
